Quick and Easy Shading System!

This pre-screened medium is widely used by cartoonists, illustrators and artists to highlight and enhance drawings with shade and tone. Duoshade eliminates the need to cut and paste mechanical screens or make tedious crosshatching by hand. After creating your drawing on Duoshade, apply Grafix developer and sharp, crisp patterns emerge.

Size of Drawing Surface: Both Duoshade and Unishade are manufactured on a 17.5 x 24" sheet with a reproduction area of 16.5 x 23".

Developer: One set of light and dark developer is included with each 10 sheets of Duoshade; one bottle of developer is included with each 10 sheets of Unishade - extra developer can be purchased separately.

Pattern Numbers: The number of the pattern refers to the number of lines or dots per inch. Example, Unishade 32D means a dot pattern of 32 per inch. Duoshade 232 means two patterns, each with 32 lines per inch. The light pattern is the equivalent of approximately 25% black; the dark pattern is about 50%

Reduction: As a guideline for better reproduction we suggest the following recommendations to determine the percentage by which your original artwork can be reduced when drawn on a particular pattern.
