Instructions:

My first step is to cut Opaque White Dura-bright 010” / Craft Plastic with Sizzix Tim Holtz Mover & Shapers Bigz L Die Tag & Bookplates 656938 with a Die-cutting machine.

The second step I do is to cut strips of Opaque Black Dura-bright 010” / Craft Plastic with a paper trimmer.

After this, I mark a margin on the tag with a pencil and draw horizontal parallel lines, which I then cut with a cutter.

Now comes the fun part, as if we sewed the black strips on the tag, we insert them, one above and one below until we reach the end, and with the next black strip the same but starting backward, so that we are left with a pattern of white and black, as a chess print.

I cut off the excess black strips, both the front at the bottom and the back at the top of the tag. And I proceed to sew with the machine and black thread around the tag so that the whole thing is well secured. I go around the tag a couple of times and do a final seam in the upper right corner back and forth several times.

Since I want it to have a Valentine’s theme, I take watercolor paper and a brush and red and white watercolors, and I draw freehand three hearts of different sizes in different shades of red and make some red and white splashes on top. Finally, I cut out the hearts one by one.

I have looked for scrap paper with a love theme, and I have cut out some squares and proceeded to laminate them with Heavyweight laminating Film.

I take some white cotton threads and red sewing thread to put in the background and create a little texture, under the hearts and laminated squares. At the top of the tag, inside the hole I put a Red silk ribbon #sarisdesara.

Before gluing everything with the hot glue gun, I make some splashes with the red Posca marker.

I am looking for a used and dried tea bag from Yogitea, which has a message on the label, I take one that has a red label and also the message has to do with love, I cut the tea bag and this time I will only use the label and its thread. And then I glue the elements that I already have, thinking that the tag was finished but once glued I think it is missing something.

For my taste, everything is very clean, the marker splashes are almost not visible, so I decide to put a little bit of Infusions Dye Stain – Sunset Beach on top of the hearts and activate it with a water spray, I remove the excess with a napkin and proceed to dry it.

At the bottom I want to put a feeling, I take a washi tape with a long phrase, but with “I love you” I have enough, for this I melt a little red wax, and with a wax seal with a heart in this bottom part on top of the end of the washi tape.
